How it works. The Flowbird Loop

At Flowbird AI, we view product management as an iterative process marked by essential milestones that every idea must cross. While the path to a great product is rarely sequential or one-directional, these milestones are critical, they ensure all ideas meet rigorous standards before they ever reach production.

Rather than getting lost in the endless debates over the "right" framework, we keep it simple. Every idea in Flowbird AI is assessed against three core characteristics derived from the well established ICE Rating:

  • Impact: The total value an idea creates for your target audience.
  • Confidence: How well-defined the concept and its functional requirements are.
  • Ease: The level of technical effort required to realize the intended impact.

That’s it.

Foundation

Success begins by defining what you want to build, who it is for, the value it will create, and what foundational work already exists. This information sets the strategic context for every action in Flowbird AI and evolves as your product grows. For seamless alignment and sharing, we summarize this information in a FlowPRD, a live requirements document.

Discover

Everything starts with a deep understanding of what your target audience truly needs. You will work with Robin, Flowbird AI’s customer research agent, to create detailed and fully customizable AI personas representing your various audience segments. To uncover genuine needs and pain points, Robin conducts agentic discovery interviews using the renowned Customer Outsight™ method. The results form the Problem Space for each persona, where problem statements are ranked by a "pain score" that captures both their importance and the level of dissatisfaction with the status quo. This Problem Space is the heartbeat of Flowbird AI’s customer-centric approach.

Ideate

Once problems are understood, it is time to brainstorm solutions. Robin acts as your thought partner, helping you generate original ideas or refine existing ones. To maintain a strictly evidence-driven approach, Robin conducts agentic validation interviews with your AI personas to assess the expected value a solution generates and gather feedback for improvement. These results are captured in the Impact score, providing a clear, comparable measure of how valuable an idea is to your specific audience.

Concept

Ideas with a high Impact score graduate to the next stage, where they are developed into detailed functional concepts. Jay leads this phase, focusing on the user experience and the functional logic of the product. Progress is measured by the Confidence score, which indicates how well-rounded and thoroughly thought-out a solution has become. Once a concept is sufficiently refined, Flowbird AI generates an expert, tool-specific prompt, allowing you to immediately build prototype versions using your preferred vibe-coding tool.

Specify

High-impact solutions with a strong Confidence score are ready for the final stage: technical implementation planning. Here, Finch, Flowbird AI’s engineering partner, helps craft ready-to-code specifications and a robust implementation plan. The Ease score assessment provides a clear indication of how well the technical details are defined and the complexity of the build. This completes the ICE rating, giving you a complete, evidence-based picture of what to prioritize to move your product forward.

Orchestration

The Flowbird Loop is flexible; you can work through these steps sequentially for a single feature or tackle them in batches across your entire portfolio. The Orchestration Chat helps you prioritize the next best action, maximize the impact of your efforts, and maintain a high-level overview of where things stand. Whether you are building a plan to reach a specific goal quickly or seeking advice on best practices, Flowbird AI ensures you are always building what matters.
