First Product
After signup, Jay (Flowbird AI's product management expert) will help you set up your first product.
Jay will ask you:
- Product Name - What's it called?
- Product Vision - What are you aiming to achieve?
- Target Audience - Who are you building for and what problem do you solve?
- Lifecycle Stage - Where are you in development?
- Product Substance - What functionality already exists? (if applicable)
- Product Narrative - Jay will create an elevator pitch for you based on your answers
Why this matters: This context powers everything Flowbird AI does—from research to validation to specs.
Be as detailed as possible. You can refine or add more information anytime in your product settings.
Your Product Dashboard
Your product dashboard is your command center.
Chat with Jay to:
- Identify the best next action
- Ask about process or what would have the most impact
- Get guidance on priorities
View Toggle: Switch between Dashboard and FlowPRD (a summary of your product for easy export) in the top corner of the content panel.
Create Your First Persona
A persona is a specific segment of your target audience. Start with your most important one.
Work with Robin to create it:
- Brainstorm - Ask Robin to suggest persona options
- Manual - Provide a detailed profile for Robin to work with
- Upload - Share an existing persona document
Refine as needed: Once Robin generates the initial profile, chat with her to add details or make adjustments.
🔥 Hot Tip: You can always refine personas or create new ones later.
Discover the Problem Space
Once your persona is detailed enough, Robin will propose running a Discovery Interview.
What happens: Robin conducts a complete interview with your AI persona to uncover their pain points and problems. This takes about 5 minutes.
What you get: A list of problem statements ranked by P-score (level of dissatisfaction + importance). Higher P-score = more severe problem.
Why this matters: This is your foundation for understanding your audience and solving their actual pain points.
You can re-run discovery anytime—for example, after updating your persona profile.
🔥 Hot Tip: Click the "Solve it" button on any problem statement to start brainstorming feature ideas immediately.
Add a Feature
Features are solutions to the problems you've discovered.
Three ways to create a feature:
- Navigation panel: Click the "+" icon next to "Features"
- Ask Jay: On your Dashboard, ask Jay to create a new feature
- Solve it: Click "Solve it" from any problem statement
Work with Robin to:
- Describe an existing feature idea, or
- Brainstorm solutions to discovered problems
🔥 Hot Tip: The more context you give Robin, the better the output. Chat back and forth—don't settle for the first ideas.
The Feature Process
Creating a feature includes 3 phases:
1. Ideation - Find the best solution with Robin
2. Concepting - Craft detailed functional requirements with Jay
3. Implementation - Feasibility assessment and implementation planning with Finch
Each phase is reflected in your ICE Rating:
- Impact - How much value does this create for your audience?
- Confidence - How complete is the concept?
- Ease - How hard is it to build?
Features with the highest ICE rating rise to the top. Update your features and add context, scores update automatically.
What's Next?
Expand your target audience, discover more problems, or brainstorm new features to solve them.
It's up to you. Ask Jay on your Dashboard what to build next, or describe a goal you have in mind.
Have fun and build what matters.
